This is a pair of mid-19th century gilt bronze candelabra/girandole that have been in my family since the 1950s. The figures with their muskets have been interesting to study. They appear to be Native American Indians wearing kilts and sporran and perhaps made as a variant on the "Warrior with Musket" by Cornelius & Co. The Iroquois were known to wear kilts, perhaps in company with Scotsmen who settled near them on Lake Ontario and the St. The bronzes and their marble bases are in fine condition.
Their tallest point is 15 in. The decks of crystals are easily removed. This is the inventory of the crystals: there are 48 called for in all. There are presently only 36 and 10, although the same length, are not original to the other 26. All the prisms I have are showing in photos with the blank spaces in the back.
