So, we would prefer you come here and test them, and pick them up, but that isn't usually possible. That, and possibly some of these movements could use a cleaning, or adjusting after decades of being here. As such, we will only warrantee that the clock will be free of major defects, and with all parts included except when noted. This Tiffany crystal regulator is marked "Tiffany" on the movement, and is similarly marked there as well by the French Samuel Marti clock company.
Here I will mention the worst first to be accurate, the clock looks great, but it does have some defects that you will see, upon closer inspection. The crystal doors and panels surrounding the heavy, gilt, bronze clock are chipped some at the very bottom on the beveled edge where it meets the bronze frame at the holy bronze base. It isn't something that stands out, because of the nicely made frame surrounding the beveled glass, so I mention them, even if, you don't notice them all that much, unless you look closely. Underneath the clock, where you are not ever going to look, there are 6 or 8 holes in the base of the clock, and from looking at clocks online, I surmise that there may have been nobs that now may be missing.
I don't think many would mention this, and if you wanted to you could likely find something to replace them with, but it isn't anything that is going to take away from the way the clock looks because it looks great without the knobs as well. Finally, on the crystal ball adorning the top of the clock, the miniature cherubs face, and tiny urn handle, are both likely missing on one side. I would imagine these could be cast with impressions from the tiny handle found on other side or 3D printed similarly. If you want to make it perfect. The most elaborate clocks by Samuel Marti tend to sell for more. And this is a very elaborate, heavy, exquisitely styles, bronze, antique, French, gilt, bronze and crystal clock. And the clock's enameled, porcelain dial is in excellent condition, as are it's glass crystal columns, the movement, and the rest of the clock which does look very impressive even with these lesser defects. All of these items are from the estate of my parents who were 50 year antique dealers. So many of these things have been in our family for decades. A majority of our items were bought at garage and estate sales from the 1970s-80s in South Florida. The reason is clear, we expect to sell these items. We strive to price items very fairly, and to sell them fairly quickly.
So please inspect the quality and rarity of these pieces, and considering my willingness to let them go below market value, I would not expect these items to remain online for long, as many are nicer and more desirable pieces. Some are harder to find than others. And Some may be one of a kind. Some may even be famous pieces. We allow local pick ups, and If you want to come inside the house to look around, be our guest. We have hundreds of books & a vast variety of other things that are not listed online. The house is going up for sale in the next month or so. We will tell you if this is the case, and we will update your tracking info when your package ships out. We have been sorting through a 3,800 square foot house packed with many different items, with only a little time left to list some of the highlights. It is our top priority to correct any blunders, oversights or errors. We assure each item has been inspected & documented, for both our protection & yours, and we will not send out your item in a condition we haven't already noted in the description, or had visable in our photos. All of our higher end items do have secret marks we have documented. And we take multiple photos of all items. My mom is legally in charge of the estate, and is supervising all sales, providing us with valuable information on these items, so we are working with her to list everything, including all of her vintage clothing.
Although my parents were antique dealers, a vast majority of what is here is from their personal collection which has not seen the light of day outside this house for the past 40 years. Many of their items speak for themselves. We can provide additional photos or answer additional questions on all items, but please realize that we can only do so much so fast; and once it sells, it is gone. We can only take care of one person at a time, but even so, we do guarantee our enthusiasm to find these items a nice new home.As this is an estate sale, All Sales Are Final, (unless we miss listed something).
